Important Facts
FocalEquity Alerts and Analytics is a stock alert and macro-investment service based on Idan's personal hedge fund and co-managed by his partner Sun Tze (Tony). The stock alerts are produced by a unique set of quantitative and technical screens that consist of both long and short stock recommendations.
There are two kinds of long short equity investment strategies. The first strategy is industry based long short pair-trading. The pair-trading strategy takes long positions in relatively strong companies and short positions in relatively weak companies within a chosen industry. The second strategy is a universe level long short stock selection model.
The macro-based investment analysis is based on proprietary macroeconomic and trend research methods.
Stock alerts are delivered to subscribers twice a week. Each round of recommendations will consist of long and short stock recommendations with clear entry and target prices as well as detailed analysis behind each recommendation. Once the recommended stocks are near or reach their intended targets, our equity model will automatically sell the long positions and cover the short positions to realize profits. The unsuccessful positions will automatically be stopped out and liquidated when losses reach 10%. The model’s trading actions will be immediately communicated to subscribers almost in real time. Our model will always take on multiple bets in the range between 15 to 30 positions, and our hit (successful) ratio has been consistently around 75% with portfolio turnover rate of over 300% to 400% per year.
The macro-investment strategies are delivered in a newsletter format. These newsletters will be provided to subscribers at least once every two weeks with rich macroeconomic topics and clear guidance on how to use certain investment vehicles to take advantage of the changing macroeconomic/investment trends around the globe. Most of these vehicles are sector, commodity and currency based ETFs.
