1. NYSE:AA – Alcoa Inc.
Alcoa has taken a severe beating so far this year. This is a stock that is 100% tied to the economy so any hint of a second recession will make this stock go lower. The stock has a good ranking in our stock model ranking 285 out of 3,517.
2. NYSE:RBS Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc (ADR)
There is some unusually high volume with RBS after the close yesterday. The stock has been trading sideways for a couple of weeks.

1. NYSE:FAZ Direxion Daily Finan. Bear 3X Shs(ETF)
FAZ dropped to quintile four ranking. If the breakdown continues, then this would be an indication for a strong counter trend rally in financials.

Merideth Whitney predicted last year about municipalities defaulting and low and behold Harrisburg,Pa files for bankruptcy today, yet the market is in full rally mode go figure.
A town in the U.S. going bankrupt is nothing compare to the entire European continent. It’s all a relative game.
True but when was the last time a capital city of any state in the US went BK? None. This is just the tip of the iceberg of our dire financial mess yet the market is ignoring it for now……….until the next one files.
ANW is surging higher yet today and as usual when it goes up so does the market. Just amazing how last week we were going to double dip and the world was coming to an end, laffs and now the Dow has captured 1200 plus points on essentially no volume and it all hinges on a small country called Slovakia. What a bunch of BS is I ever saw it. Plus the best part of the whole story is the Dow is now at breakeven for the year.
Irrational exuberance
S&P is still climbing after the pause day yesterday. It’s now at the upper end of the trading range again; so we will see if it will break out of this range finally.
It’s hard to say. But DOW is in the green YTD
FOMC minutes now.
DOW still did not manage to close in the green YTD today. Maybe it will manage to do that this week at some point.
