8.22am
Futures are shoving us back up… we look to be opening around the 113 area… it’ll be a great opportunity to short with a 0.2-0.3% stop and not have too much of a risk. If it opens above 113.20 you can try getting long too.
We have Durable Goods 8:30am and at 10am we have New Home Sales.

It’s tough to get long the market here.. i’m going to need a pull back cuz i missed the opportunity around 113.6-113.7
Sold my EMC calls – Oct 22 calls – entered at 0.19 many days ago- sold 0.41 …
Now holding VMC calls and AMR calls … was thinking of adding FAZ calls, but there may be one more push up monday …
Do you have Targets in mind on SPX or SPY?
MK – I am thinking at that we make have a fake out of SPY 115 and then pullback to 113.2 …. it is possible that we try to test the gap at 115.33 – 116 SPY next week before retracing …
This is why I am selectively pulling out money as well – eg sold my EMC Oct calls …. still long the stock …
Thanks Anjali.
Huge day.
short tza & faz.
short the tza or you bought tza and what price ?
Also – can u share your thoughts on tgts …
my bot program added shorts.
Order Sell Short 7,679 FAZ @13.96
Order Sell Short 5,679 TZA @29.72
So you are looking at the mkt rising more next week …. I agree – my thoughts too – but I don’t see too much more upside without a pullback ….
Any tgts on the SPY or RUT ?
Sheesh – just saw the prices …. you shorted almost at the top – what did u see there ?
GLD trade was a breakeven. For some reason it was exited differently than the other trades end of day. Great trend day. Now we go down?
9/24/10, (NYSE:TGT), $55.05, “SUPER BUY” Target Corporatio (TGT) Stock
9/17/10 Target (NYSE: TGT) closed yesterday at $53.96. So far the stock has hit a 52-week low of $45.11 and 52-week high of $58.52. Target stock has been showing support around 52.91 and resistance in the 54.59 range. Technical indicators for the stock are Bullish and S&P gives TGT a positive 4 STAR (out of 5) buy rating. TGT appears on the Investors Observer Analysts Favorites list. For a hedged play on this stock, look at a Jan ’11 55 covered call for a net debit in the $51.62 area. That is also the break even stock price for this trade. This covered call has a 127 day duration, provides 4.34% downside protection and a 6.55% assigned return rate for an 18.82% annualized return rate (comparison purposes only). A lower cost hedged play for this stock would use a longer term call option in place of the covered call stock purchase. To use this strategy look at going long the TGT Jan ’12 35 Call and selling the Jan ’11 55 call for a $17.56 debit. The trade has a 127 day life and would provide 2.59% downside protection and a 13.90% assigned return rate for a 40.00% annualized return rate (for comparison purposes only). Target has a current annual dividend yield of 1.86%
Idan – can you share your thoughts on AMR ?
