Wynn is now on our short list… it might still have a few more % points up but taking a small short here, and adding to it later seems like a good idea to me. This stock is so incredibly overvalued by any metric possible, and is now above it’s bullinger bands. With strong triangle resistance in the $72-74 range I feel like we have a good idea of where to put a stop if need be. I am going to wait one more UP day on this stock before I go short (hopefully somewhere in the $71.80-72 range.

Here’s the daily:

For those holding CLNE short, the earnings report is coming out today at 4:30 pm EST.

What a launch!!! close brought by the crooks at GS + MS Lets see if they hit my 72 on close.
Gonna be greedy, holding the shares and calls overnight.

    Jimbho replied:

Holding all the IOC calls and shares. These crooks are famed for announcing
some carp right at opex to catch pants down. In nov it made me large on
    same basis. T

My PSYS got snuck out from under me ????
Taken at HOD by MM @30.02

LOL, so busy bashing Zee/Sam here and reading the never ending posts at
yahoo for IOC that i forgot to reset my PSYS stops.
    I have ADD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, this is so boring a market, its easy to get lulled to sleep and miss data
points and exits/entries. I prefer when their is action to keep awake.

    nastrades replied:

I have to agree on this…. how do people take over their fears?

seriously i tired to go long this thing since yesterday but end up shorting it assuming it will go done… everything around was pointing to go long but there is fear in me even thinking “long”

I have lost over half million $ being long for too long and sec i go long I get flash back to the crash…

    woo replied:

you have to play it all as numbers and charts. emotions will always give you the short end of the stick. you’ll want to hold on longer than you should when losing money, and get out too early due to fears that it will drop.

play the support/resistance holds/breaks and you can’t be lax about your stops. also trading more frequently than needed isn’t beneficial either. try and use stops when possible. you can stop out 10 times in a week, but make a large chunk on one good trade that more than offsets all the small losses/break even trades from the 10 trades. unless you see a GREAT opportunity on a small volume stock, stick to stocks and options with larger volume and shorter spreads on price.

IOC broke north of a major trend line at $65, and was never a short position until it broke back below that.

it has now broke slightly north of the 71 area, which is additional bullishness, but tomorrow could bring a swing back down below that trend line. i would wait for open and depending on where it lands, buy a position with stops using that trend line. if u stop out u take the small loss. if it rises, u raise your stop to lock in profit, and ride it to the next major support.

    Richard (FRBN) replied:

but i thought you bought puts woo ?

  3. Once more, for those who missed reading it back up in the earlier messages, re Jimbho, zee, Sam, etc.:

We’re all more than tired of this, so here are the facts:

Jimbho’s IP address has used several ID’s and email addresses. There has been no switching back and forth lately, but at least four handles and emails were used in one week in January, with still others used previously.

zee has for at last two months always been zee except for a couple of ZEE’s, mostly from one of two IP addresses, possibly work and home, and always with the same email address.

Since at least December, Sam’s IP address, email address, and “Sam” ID have been the same.

Anitang is unrelated by any of those parameters to either Sam or zee.

Some troll did once use both Sam and zee as an ID along with a few variations. Most or all of those messages were removed by woo or Idan or me.

So once and for all, Jimbho, BEHAVE YOURSELF. Otherwise, you may discover just how quickly ALL of your messages can disappear.

    Anitang replied:

Uner, thanks so much for your clarifications. I’m tired of reading Jimbho’s comments for the past few weeks. His comments are rude, disrespectful and arrogant. Wondering why so many posters here can tolerate this shit going on and on…..

Though he makes some good calls; and helps other posters to make some money; since he came to this board, he has turned this place into a circus.
If only there was an “Ignore” button……………

    Anjali replied:

My thoughts exactly – I like his mkt calls, but there is so much bashing makes you cringe …

    Thanks a lot Uner !!

    blackhawk replied:

Thanks Uner, have followed you and board for last 18 months. Question: will “powers that be” redefine this site for better quality? As example, don’t allow posts that just show trades which are unsubstantiated. Conversely, allow posts with positions that have some foundation. Just my thoughts.

By the way, Jimbho, Zee, etc. have brought good info. to Stocktock–just hope they can continue to provide education (like today, without insults) for the rest of us.

    woo replied:

we try our best to monitor most of the comments. we’ll leave some on and take some off. we’ll try and give ample warning too if the poster shows a history of good content.

Even if some posts are unsubstantiated we may leave them up because they may have their own reasoning which they haven’t explained, and we hope that all the people reading these posts and comments understand the importance of doing their own research of the charts, as well as understand that the only person to blame for a bad trade is yourself. There is no real line in the sand for what is acceptable and what is not. Use your best judgment and if we give warnings please try and listen…or else Uner might come out…and he is the (tech savvy)bad cop =)

Either way we’ve tried our best to develop a friendly atmosphere here, and I think most of the regular contributors now take a bit more ownership of the family we’ve created and help ignore/warn people when needed, which helps us a lot. So thanks to everyone, we’ll try our best to keep this site in good shape.

    blackhawk replied:

Thanks Woo, just have a problem with posts that continue to show their positive results only (without foundation). I would venture to guess that these people are not telling the truth, possibly some losses that they do not want to be made public.

Again, your information and education are much appreciated–just wish this site would have more posters like you.

By the way, have made considerable monies based on your (other’s) thoughts–thanks again!

    morris replied:

If one posts the entries and exits in real time (and they can be checked), how can gains or losses on the trades be hidden?

    Jimbho replied:

    C O O L :

    blackhawk replied:

Man, you are good, just over the top on occasion.

    woo replied:

lol. jim, appreciate the commentary and snide remarks. just tone down the name calling and pedophile comments a bit. i know you’re poking at zee/sam in good fun/humor but let’s make fun of our american leaders, economists, and company ceo’s instead (with stock commentary being the primary focus of course).

    zee replied:

To All- Thanks guys for the Support.

    To Jimbho-
Lol, let’s call it truth Jimbho.
We’re all here to make money, so from now on I’ll refrain from mockery, I hope you reciprocate.

    Jimbho replied:

    Its T R U C E . . . lol.

I was serious in suggesting you at least get the text for the CSI and
the Carnegie Book or course. I forced my adult kids to take it and they
    later thanked me.

Lets put it in context. The future belongs to you and i hate that part of it, the
    past is all i have.

One small hint that will endear rather than alienate, don’t brag about how
much you have or made. Even mock boasting in the big boy style
is something i have to stop. The next guy reading may have just lost that
    same amount, part of life?

The saddest part is the SPY115C i unloaded at 3PM appear to have been
picked up by another board member here. I would have taken better care of them had i known.

    zee replied:

Ok thanks, I’ll make sure to do that.
    Professional i will be.

    Jimbho replied:

Be a kid, be yourself, don’t try to be someone else.

you’ll get way further that way. And the best investment you can make
at the age i assume you to be, is an education and the Dale Carnegie
“How to Win Friends and Influence People” and the CSI.

Know the rules if your gonna play the game.

    mike replied:

ha..hopefully you let me have them with a little bit of gas left in the tank. Small position for me as I just wanted back in the game. I have been to busy lately to risk funds in the market so just dipping my toe back in to get a feel.

    Jimbho replied:

See my post below. SPY calls are ok but i had them for 5 days and like
    fish they start to smell.
Short squeezed stocks forming bases are the flavor of the week.

  8. morris says:

I would also like some clarification since the topic seems to be on the table this afternoon. A certain poster here takes issue (over and over again) with me posting my trades because I typically do not offer up explanations for why I am entering/exiting the positions. His recent objections to my posts have become extremely insulting.

If the admins here (Idan, Woo, Uner, etc.) have issues with my style of posting, would you please let me know so I can move on to another place that will appreciate the fact that I am sharing everything I do in real time for free? I will definitely understand if my postings do not fit the spirit of this site since the focus here might be solely on market TA (which I do not feel qualified to provide).

However, if my posts are welcomed here by the admins, I hope that the people who target my posts will finally drop it.

    woo replied:

no problems on my side. morris has posted here for a long time. in his defense anytime he’s posted something, and i’ve either posted something counter or in agreement, or asked for his thoughts on a position he’s taken, he’s always backed it up with the reasons for why he enters where he enters. he does a lot of oscillatory trading. very patient guy who knows what he’s looking for when entering and exiting positions, willing to hold over days when needed, add to positions above/below significant points, and take losses and posts them as well.

as he mentioned when he posts his positions, he’s sharing his entry and exit. there are people who will see his posts and do their own research on the stocks he mentions to see whether or not they want to take a similar position or refrain from doing so.

if you want him to give more support for his positions just ask in a nice way. everyone needs to remember, first and foremost, that the intraday commentary is not a paid service. i don’t get paid, morris doesn’t get paid, richard doesn’t get paid. people post to share and exchange ideas. to help others and be helped. if you don’t like certain posters, just ignore their comments, if it gets out of hand, we will delete the comments or send warnings their way.

    thanks!

now back to trading commentary. no more boohoo stories, no more complaining, everyone suck it up and play nice. we’re all adults here, trying to make some money.

    blackhawk replied:

“why he enters when he enters” Give me an example, and I will go away!

    woo replied:

if u don’t want to trade what he trades just follow the posts you feel are relevant and ignore his.

    give me money!

    blackhawk replied:

Am actually on your side of this site–don’t understand oscillatory trading. Just trying to push forward for better quality with foundation of decisions. “Give me money”? If you need, can do! What is your e-mail?

    woo replied:

    lol.

we all accept donations. we rarely get them, but appreciate them when they come. if we ever post anything intraday or a stocktock chart, there will be a donation link on the bottom.

    quality is always good. =)

    morris replied:

I remember posting a pretty lengthy explanation of how I was trading the UCO/SCO pair using the USO chart back in later 2009. If I find the post for you (which would be an example), will you stop?

    blackhawk replied:

yes, as long as you give some further updates. this is not about you personally, it is only about keeping the quality of the board above board.

    nightrider replied:

Very well said Woo! I am in total agreement . Morris has been here for a long time and I have no derogatory issues on how he posts his trades. If he wants to show his entries/exits go right ahead like you said it is a free site and he is just sharing some of his plays and will give an expanation if need be to help anyone. JMHO

    Jimbho replied:

I usually delay my posts 15 minutes from fill because i don’t want to be creating
    my own compet.

    zee replied:

Some of you forget that Morris was, alongside Woo, one of the ONLY BULLS IN MAY 2009.

    nastrades replied:

I have to learn alot from Morris… we entered into AXP shorts where he made 36k and I end up losing 20k…. I stayed short hoping for it to come down but he used options to protect his shorts which end up very profitable for him… Yea, Morris I am still looking forward to learn from you, how you took care of AXP shorts :(

    morris replied:

nastrades, I think you are talking about Fritz. I’ve never traded AXP although I did warn against shorting it at the time.

  9. Jimbho says:

Relax, your well liked and amongst friends.

We need to isolate heavy shorted small float stocks that are optionable, there is a
gravy train in the station. Had 2 takeovers in 2 days with a 3rd soon to be announced,
this is a trend to feed off itself.
And forget shorts, this market traps rather than reward.

    Anjali replied:

Jim – your turn now – show us how you identify that a gravy train is in … you obviously saw something that helped you pick some right …. can u share more insight into how …

Also, a lot of us don’t delay our posts … we enter and provide the entry so people can get in right away within a few cents …. usually the volume is not so much that it will hurt your individual trade …

    Jimbho replied:

One finger typing, getting old and i do not need approval or pats on the back,
i will delay reporting till filled rather than assume. 15 minutes on my trades don’t
mean much, i tend to be longer term oriented.

Admin should def. think about creating a forum, that way TA/analysis is not lost in the process of intraday blogs. If ‘our posts’ truly are ‘high quality’, why should we lose them in 1 day? Browsing through 200+ comments a day is a hastle.
We can have a forum for Individual stock opinions, individual indices, strategies, and a general chat (where the bulk of the posts go..)
    My food for thought..

Idan, I will be looking at WYNN too, and will try to take a short position with you.
Personally I would wait for a 3-4,000,000 volume day.. that would signal the top of europhia. Why? a high volume day usually indicates an exchange of position. Likely from long to short.
